Hey guys I have a diesel truck and not to familiar with how to fix it or it's parts.. My truck while driving it it tends to turn off by itself and stall and coming to a stop the RPM starts flickering up and down.... Please let me know what I should do or what's wrong with it....any help would help.....thanks Chris.......

Seriously dude, you honestly can't expect someone to read your posts vague description and give a answer that's gonna fix you up. In real life, Fonzie doesn't exist!

Take it to the Dealer or a reputable diesel shop that knows these engines if you're not equipped to do real diagnosis. There are Dozens of things that would fit your problem. I don't mean to insult you, just trying to be realistic...

Seriously dude! are u here to talk smack or to help? Can't u rear my first sentence, am not here for someone to tell me whats wrong.am just saying if someone had the same problems maybe they can give me some ideas. Of course am scanning my pcm. But come on dude this is what the forums are here for to discuss about our problems.

Try the crank sensor. Get a blue one from international or off the dfuser website.

Sorry, it just sounded to me like your basic question was "what makes my engine stall sometime?" and I just don't know how to react to that...

I mean, it could be anything!

Let me try and help (I'll be Fonzie )

Ever see a CEL light?
Do you have any tuning on your truck?
Do you ever feel a "skip" or miss?
Otherwise runs strong?
Starts right-up in the morning?
Does it do this more hot or cold?
What year is your truck?
How many miles?
Hi Pressure Oil control system all original (ICP - IPR)?
How does the IPR solenoid look (plug & wire intact, tin nut on tight)?
Does it restart easily after it stalls?
Do you have a spare CPS to try?

How are you going to scan the PCM? What are you going to use (you know you can't just use any ole' OBD-II scanner)? If you have access to the right tool, monitor the ICP pressure and the IPR%, maybe do a buzz test, as well as scan for code history.

I wish I could just "tap" the hood with my fist and make it right (the way Fonzie does) but sometimes it takes more than that
