i have a 2000 f350 and at WOT the most boost i can hit is 16lbs. the truck has a 4 inch downpipe into a 4 inch straight pipe exhaust out the side. a k&n air intake and a TS 6 position chip. i also checked and have no boost leaks. fuel pressure is 65lbs and at wot it drops to 60lbs. any ideas?

^^^ what he said. Also, maybe the chip isnt installed correctly/making contact and/or the contacts not cleaned good enough. Fuel pressure is normal, withthe 5psi drop at wot.

i checked out the up pipes and they dont look like they are leaking theres no soot on the firewall or anywhere on the piping. is there any other way to check them other than just looking at them?.
another thing i noticed is that with my ts chip in stock mode i get 10lbs in 50hp-14lbs. 75hp-14lbs. 100hp-16lbs and 140+ i get 16lbs while rolling a huge smoke cloud. seems like from the 50hp mode to the 140+ extreme it doesnt change much, does that seem right? |

no. You should be in the 20+ psi. I'm having similar issues, with redline unhooked, the best i see (stock truck, no chip-tuner) is 15psi. I went ahead and did the 10k mod, and with redline unhooked, hit 22psi. So, i ordered up a ICP. Should be here today, and if install makes it, i'll re-post my findings.

How'd you check for boost leaks? Pressurized the charge air system?

If you wanna do whatever it takes, get something to monitor live data. Monitor MAP to make sure it's correct, ICP, IPR, EBP to name a few. Those sensors have been known to cause driveablilty issues. But personally, I'd bet that you have a boost leak. |
