TRANNIE QUESTION

I HAVE A 99 F350 POWERSTROKE WITH A 6 SPEED. I WANT TO PUT AN AUTOMATIC IN IT. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANYSUGESTION? I JUST PUT ABOUT $2500 IN REBUILD ON TRANNY NEW CLUTCH,SLAVE,MASTER,FLYWHEEL. HAVING PROBLEMS WITH KNEES AND NEED AUTO. IS THERE A TRANNY THAT USE TO COME BEHIND THE 7.3'S THAT DONT NEED ELECTRONICS? ANY INFO GREATLY APPRECIATED. WILL ALSO TRADE FOR AUTO CONVERSION FOR MY TRUCK. JAMIE

Not behind the poerstroke. There was one behind the 6.9l IDI and 7.3l IDI, it was a C-6 so you wouldn't have a lock up torque converter. I don't know if would be possible. And I don't know if the trans would hold up if you had any power mods. I know the bellhousing would bolt up. I have a C-6 from behind an 6.9L if your interested.

Does the 7.3 have the same bolt pattern as a 7.5 gas burner "460 bbf" ?

I will sale the complete setup everything you need to install in your truck for $3500 or tranny, flywheel, clutch kit, all have less than 1500 miles since new or rebuilt for $2500
