Replaced HPOP and now hard to start when warm
Ok, swapped in a t500 HPOP and had the shop replaced the orings when the job was done. Truck is an 03, with 114k on her. Had no stArting issues prior to the swap. Truck starts just fine when cold, but a restart when still hot takes like 7-10 sec of cranking. I have put over 210 miles on the truck since the swap and no change. Oil is new as shop also did the oil pan. Not sure why a new pump wld be causing me trouble, esp since i had no issues before.
I am new to diesels, so i thought putting this pump in was a good thing. Not something that would cause problems. What can i do to try and fix this? I'd hate to bring back to shop, as i just dropped some coin there for the pan job! Any help/suggestions as to whatto do would be great. Thanks! |

did you get a new IPR or ICP?
i'm 85% sure that is where the problem is, one of those is not working right. |

Both are new. Put stock pump back in and she is working just fine now! Issue is something with the pump

If it was a new pump sounds like it is bad.
