HELP PLEASE
I was going down the road and my truck just died. I checked the crank sensor it was fine. Any ideas? Please help I have to get it on the road ready to go by the sixth to drive to Colorado.

check fuse #30, 30amp fuse. If popped, unplug your fuel bowl heater. How'd you "check" the CPS? Have you done the re-call on it? There not much to purchase and you'll know you got a new/work'n one.

WTS Light? - do you get it when you first roll-on the key?
Tach Movement? - does the tach needle move up slightly when cranking? Fuel - pump runs? Fuel refilling filter housing? Tank below 1/4? Is your truck "chipped"? If so, remove it as a Test. |

I took a cam/crank sensor off another superduty that I know worked and tried it in mine. When I tried to crank the truck the rpm goes up to about 3 to 4 hundred. I already checked all the fuses. tank is full. Purged the full filter. Truck is chipped. I did take the chip out and tried it same thing happened. No lights other than the normal lights that are on when starting. I'm thinking it is the IDM that has gone out.

unplug the ICP. Also possible theIPR has/got junk in it.
