NEED SOME HELP GUYS!!!!!!
Hey guys Im new to this site and would like help. Im learning as i go with my truck but i have never had a problem like this. When im driving my truck every few minutes itll act like its hesitating or missing. It doesnt do it under WOT tho. I was told by a local mechanic that it was the injectors and i already wanted to upgrade them anyway so i went ahead and had them rebuilt to stage 2's. But the problem is still occuring. My tranny has recently been rebuilt and a HD torque converter and transgo shift kit installed along with it. I try to do everything i can myself (except the tranny). Do any of you guys have an idea of what else i could look at that might be causing this problem?

change the oil and the fuel filter. Usually you can tell if it's in the trans or the engine.. if the vehicle is still keeping speed when it does it it's usually the trans. if it seems to slow down a bit its usually the engine.

Usually you can solve this problem with a fuel filter replacement to give your engine a less restrictive fuel pressure line which will give it more fuel pressure at higher rpm's, and also yes, an oil change will help you out significantly, but I wouldn't see why the people who changed your injectors wouldn't have already changed your oils.

i did the injectors myself, also i change my oil myself. it only has about 2000 miles on this last oil change.... i would have thought it was the transmission too but even when it is sitting in park it'll "miss". It kinda got me baffled, i will do the fuel filter change this weekend but im pretty sure thats not the issue..... Any other ideas ? Thanks for your input.

injector harness?
Did you change the injector harnesses??
The UVC harness could be loose? I think you can pull the connector on one side, if it dies then the opposite side is suspect, if nothing happens its the bank your on that is suspect? Hope that is a quick check... Or get a scanner, which is what I need to get done on mine..... Im a noobie so dont take my word for it, please some veteran chime in??? |

Try popping the ICP plug - if it smooths out, it could be an faulty ICP sensor. I also replaced the ICP valve just for peace in mind - these two made my day. My 2cent, Helge |

ICP like Helga said. TPS could be an issue too.
