starts up then dies ???

Hay everyone my 02 7.3 6spd, If i let it site for 3-5 days i go out to drive it. It fires up runs for 5-8 sec then dies then i turn key off, key back on then refire it and it misses for about 10-15 sec and cleans up and stays running all day if i want. So I was thinking hpop leaking the high pressure oil tank down or do you think im loosing my fuel prime ?? any input lol

Possibly a bad IPR? I had similar problems. Also check the ICP plug for oil, if there is oil inside the connection clean it out.

2000 F-250

Ok well I put a new ICP in it a few mounths ago because it did have oil in the plug. So that puts ICP out.

Was ur IPR bad or did you just have a had o-ring on the end of it?
