not sure whats wrong need help
Driving my way home I realized it was getting much harder in and out of gear. Went to put it back in gear at a stop sign and it would go. So i shut the truck off and then put it in gear and the truck started moving forward as the engine was cranking. I finally got it home and parked in and it is hard to get the clutch to completely engage. I did hear a squeeling noise from under the hood when the clutch is pushed in. Any ideas to what my problem May be? I know my clutch is slipping a little before this. It's a 00 6 speed.

You need to crawl under it and have someone else push the clutch (watch for it rolling!). If the clutch is working I would say (because of the squeal) that the pilot bearing in the crank is seizing up.
If that happens, it will try and drive the trans input shaft just like the clutch. Unfortunately, the trans will need to come out to replace. It shouldn't be an expensive part though. |
