Engine light on and sluggish running
I've checked the forum for a similar issue, but find variations of what's happening in my 2002 F250. My engine light started coming on a couple of weeks ago, and after checking with a mech. friend at church, and checking this forum I found out that I must have clogged injectors. I ran some injector cleaner through and it seemed to clear it up. Recently, the light has started coming back on. The light stays on for approx. five miles/minutes and then turns off. The engine runs sluggish, and by sluggish I mean it stutters on acceleration. Once the engine is warm, it seems to run fine. This happens primarily in the morning, but has also run sluggish in the afternoon on occasion. It's not exactly cold here in TEXAS, but the mornings have been cooler. Does it sound more like a glow plug, relay, problem than an injector issue?

Sounds to me like your UVC harness might be acting up on you.
Here is a good write up of the UVC problems that come with our 7.3's and the fix. Pretty painless, hope this helps!! FDDTS - 7.3L UVC Harness Retainer Clips |

I appreciate the suggestion. I'm still in the learining mode so I'm curious about the UVC harness. So the UVC harness could cause me to run rough and then smooth out? I've noticed that it takes almost exactly 5 miles for the light to go off and the engine to start running smoothly. It's happening now in the afternoon, and seems to shake a bit more now. It typcially stops when I drop the rpms below 1750 (basically not accelerating). This could still be the UVC?
