A/C blowing cold...than hot and musty

Just had the A/c serviced at a reputable shop yeasterday as it was not working. they emptied and recharged, checked for leaks, pressure hold, added dye. etc. the noramal service. A/C was blowing fine, than on the short ride home, the cold air slowly became hot and very musty. This morning the A/c was freezing when I left the house, by the time I got to work, A/c was off and windows were down.

Any ideas?

Could be an intermittent clutch cycling switch, or the compressor itself... next time it does it pull over and see if the compressor is spinning or not. You can use jumpers to test the switch, just make sure you jump the correct wires. Or use a multimeter to see if the cocompressor clutch is getting the 12v needed to cycle.

thnks for your reply. Buddy of mine told me to take of the clutch and remove the little shim that was on the bolt. Something about something getting to hot because there wasnt enough airflow or something. Anyways I took the shim out and she blows colder than an artic snow storm.
