whining noise ???

when I'm in gear but not moving there is a whining noise that sounds like its coming from under the truck can figure out what its coming from truck runs fine and all fluids are good sounds like its god a blower just more of a drone to it

Just an idea...my Ex had a whine while sitting still, but while in gear. It sounded like it was coming from under the truck, after a lot of searching, we figured out it was coming from the power steering pump. After draining the system (fluid had most likely never been changed), flushing it, and refilling, the whine is long gone. I spoke to some 7.3/PS techs and they stated that this was a fairly common occurence.
