after hard rain **** hits fan

I just bought 99 F250 SD. Haven't had any problems with it till today. I go to get in and start it. Well i turned the key on to let the glow plugs get warm and the truck started crankin over with the key in the on position with out me turning it any further. It did this overtime i turned the key to on.

I called previous owner and asked him if it had ever done it to him and he said it had happened once but never again.

Any thoughts?

The GEM module (body computer) is prone to getting wet from a leaking in the bottom corners of the windshield (Very common). Look for water above the fusebox on the drivers side where the GEM is located
