Finally found the truck I have been looking for, 2001 CC LB 4X4 SRW ZF6. Went down and picked her up this past Saturday, and I am in love.
However...
Like most new relationships, which begin with a smitten stupor, Im now finding some slight imperfections here and there
The main issue seems to be electrical. The fuse for the brake lights was blown and when I replaced it, it caused the ABS light to come on, and the speedometer and odometer to quit working. Fast forward overnight, fuse has blown and everything (except the brake lights) is working fine. Left the fuse alone for the time being, but it happened again today. Driving down the road at a constant speed, speedo starts bouncing from 0 to 70 a few times and then just dies. I got home and found that the 3rd brake light was burnt out, replaced that and everything seems to be working. Also, the overhead console is not working (has power to light up the buttons) and the cruise control isnt working. Checked all fuses, they look good. Any ideas, in case this problem continues, what it might be?
2nd problem is that the parking brake does not work. It will press down and lock, and then release like a charm, but will not actually hold the truck while it is engaged Can someone please give me some VERY simple instructions as to how to adjust this? Im due for an inspection and would prefer not to be sweating it out, hoping they dont check it
Also, the truck came with a older model Hypertech Power Programmer, I plugged it in to check it out and was given the options of stages 1, 2 or 3. Does anyone know the specs for these stages? I looked on their website, but they only list specs for the new models, and this one is definitely dated.
