Fuse box removal. gem module?

Has anyone removed the underdash fuse box? Im having trouble getting it out. and i keep seeing people talking about the gem module? what is the gem module?
im removing the fuse box to see if there is something lose or getting wet bc im having electrical issues with the radio coming on and off along with the power windows going on and off.

Stock radio or aftermarket? If aftermarket, did someone hard wire the radio in or did they use a wiring harness adapter?
