EBPV Help? Continual hissing

OK, I know that when you start up the truck and get going in cold weather, the Back Pressure Valve will close up until it hits a certain temp. But the other day, it was about 30F out, and I'd been driving about 20 minutes, and it would still hiss at me. The truck was plenty warm, the heater worked fine, but every time I'd step on the accelerator, it would hiss and feel like it was lagging on me. This has been going on a while now. Any suggestions?

Sounds like your valve is stayin closed on you. Try and unplug the sensor to see if that helps. Ive had mine unplugged for a few years now with no problems. Your truck has an automatic idle up anyways so it will always kick up alil when its really cold out.
