no throttle and gauges dont sweep

So last night I pulled into a gas station, filled up the truck (ouch) and then fired her up (smooth start and idling great). Hit the gas and NOTHING! Additionally, my gauges do not sweep, odometer is black and my lights don't turn on (when on auto).

I think I have figured out the throttle. I pulled codes and I got a P0221. So I after some research I have to replace the assembly.

Question # 1: I have the adjustable pedals and the replacement part is about $500! Can I install the NON-adjustable assembly? I would save about $400!

Question #2: Why don't my gauges sweep? I checked all the fuses and they are good?

I am leaving on a trip in 3 days and I don't know what to do. Please advise.

I have a 2003 F250 7.3 with 270k miles, Intake, exhaust and the Edge Evolution CTS (no tunes).
