Black Smoke under hood?

I just recently pust an edge evolution on my 2001 f350. and i noticed that when i get on it or rev it black smoke will come through the hood, it seems to be coming from the back of the motor, and i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before? I was told maybe exhaust manifold gasket.

the reason you see it when it's on extreme is that's when it's dumping fuel and the leak is keeping the turbo from boosting enough to burn it. check you up pipes
