cranks but no start

there are about 5 million post on this topic but it seems that no ones issues are the same as mine. ok so its an 01, wts light comes on and then go out like normal, but when i crank it the CEL flashes on and off and there is a clicking sound. I was troubleshooting my speedo not working and i was checking my fuese under the dash. i had a 15 amp fues bad (not sure on the numer in fuse box but top row second from the right) replaced it. also had a 7.5 amp fuse out in the fuse box in the engine compartment. replaced both fuses. all with no joy. Im at work now and it died on my at work last night so im going to go check if the tech jumps this morning. i know the crank posistion sensers go bad but a guy at work said i should check my cam senser too? any thoughts? and where is this the IDM? will update soon. thanks yall.

You gotta figure out what those fuses are, and why they were blown... Was the entire cluster dead or was it just the speedo you had trouble with?

The CPS won't blow a fuse and, if your Instrument Cluster has a factory Trans Temp gauge the cranking rpm won't show on the tach.

Take the cover off the fusebox and put you hand on the relays there and see if you can identify the relay that's making the clicking noise. Is the engine actually tuning over as this happens? How are your batteries?

The IDM is behind the front drivers side fender kinda right behind the Fx50 emblem. BUT let's not get ahead of ourselves.....

You only have a cam sensor even though it is near the crank.

Ok well I have no idea how I fixed it but I got in the truck today and it started. I did need a jump...the batteries were pretty low. I had them tested and they are border line. Well that's the update. I really wish I knew what it was. But thanks guys.
