Intermittent SES light, occasionally dies

so in the last week ive been having my SES light come on at random, under normal driving conditions. it stays on for 1-2 minutes then goes off. while its on i dont see any adverse behavior, but in the 1-2 minutes after it turns off ive had the truck lurch forward(if im stopped), shift hard(if im driving), or if im coasting the rpms fluctuate and if sounds/feels like its missing. It will sometimes slam into or out of OD then trip the light, other times the light just randomly comes on. happens 1-3 times in my 14 mile commute to work.

i just had the trans rebuilt with a new tc about 1500 miles ago, the trans temp is below 120*when ever this happens, engine temp isnt even to halfway up the gauge, voltage seems fine.

i cant pull any codes right now cause my code reader doesnt work with the powerstrokes apparently. ive had it with me and as soon as the light comes on ive pulled over to pull codes but it says there is nothing at all stored, when im staring at the damn SES light

im going to try to pull the codes tomorrow, just trying to see if any of you guys have some insight as of now. im kind of scared to drive it cause if it dies while im moving im sure stopping and steering 35's wont be easy unassisted haha

You need to get the codes pulled with a compatible reader. Most off the shelf units will not pull them off of the Powerstroke SD's. If you can get to a transmission shop, they will usually pull codes as part of their free diagnosis. Hit up the one you had do the work. If not, find someone with Autoenginuity in your area or a friend using a Hypertech or Superchips programmer, they also read codes.
