Truck hiccups!!!!

Serious as all get out. My truck ('00 F250 PSD) which i have just replaced the CPS and the fuel outlet tube (little black tube that sits inside the fuel/water seperator), has a hiccup ploblem now. it runs and starts fine. Sometimes at idle like the other night at the boat ramp i was pulled over to the side tying the boat down and had the truck idlling. and BLAH. it died. restarted fine. Agian this mourning it almost quit but was more of a "surge" and i kept on my merry way. Once i got to work sitting in the parking lot again at an idle it died again. Any thoughts??????? i have drained and refilled the fuel/water seperator 3x already. I haven't done any other sorts of fuel system repairs to date.

Possible a bad (new) CPS. What about your fuel filters?

fuel filter is brand new purchased around the time of the new orings for the ddrain valve which was just a few weeks before the outlet tube went out. i have the old CPS sensor which i beleive is still new. I bought a replacement CPS before i traced the actual problem to the outlet tube. I will swap the OEM CPS back into it and see.
