Fuel gauge not reading correctly
So as the title says, my fuel gauge is not reading correctly. I know the tank needs to be dropped but it seems like I remember some sort or suggestion or repair that can be made while the tank is down. Thought I might check into it a little. I am working 300 miles away from home and my wife is driving my truck. She is filling up almost every 100 miles because she is afraid to run out. Any help I could get would be awesome. Thanks fellers.

There's a ridiculous contraption in there, a "mixer" that introduces air back into the fuel supply line and a bunch of screens that, when clogged, you can't get to easily.
Here's the solution -> Welcome to guzzle's In-tank Hutch Mod Web Page And a good how-to on dropping the tank -> Dropping Fuel Tank Once out, you can test the sending units rheostat to see if it needs to be replaced. |
