Still have white smoke=(
So every morning i start my truck there is white smoke coming out of my exhaust, and a lot i might add. Doesn't smell like straight diesel either.
I already put a brand new after market relay on with the mod thats on here. and I'm running a 4" straight exhaust system. Now most of the time when i start the truck that's when the white smoke comes out. But i can sit there for a few minutes and ill give it some gas and ill still see some white smoke coming out. Can anyone tell me whats going on? |

where do you live? What temps? Sounds to me like normal cold weather start symptoms. Is this your first winter with this truck? Any other issues or problems? Will it smoke like this when it warms up in the afternoon?

Sorry i forgot about this post i had, but YES my exhaust does smell sweet smelling, it doesn't smell like regular burned diesel at all which concerns me.
Its pretty cold here right now, well not to bad, around 30-40f. every time i start the truck i turn it to accessory so the plugs can warm up, then start the truck, every time it starts, white smoke. But Ive noticed that sweet smell for about 2 months now. What is it? |

Idk about on these psd's but on an old gas burner I had, it had a gasket leak and I was leaking coolant, and it would burn white and smell really sweet... The. After about 10 minutes, it would stop.. The gasket after getting warm would swell and seal the crack... Lasted about 3 months like that before blowing the gasket completely Sent from my Autoguide iPhone app |

sweet smelling exhaust is a sign of burning coolant |

I had a feeling that was what it was=( about a week after i bought the truck it broke down. My steering box gasket blew, a turbo gasket, and about 3 of my fuel injector sleeve busted which lead to diesel fuel into the cooling system. It has an extended warranty. They fixed it all and also had to change the thermostat. I have a feeling they didn't do something right when they fixed it.... Looks like I'm taking it back for them to fix it. |

Ok i took my truck to a ford dealer and they have been working onit for 2 days and contacted me today. They said they didnt find any problems. NO leaks, nothing is busted, no antifreeze is burning. Nothing. So why would it still be putting out a good chunk of white smoke and sweet smelling fumes? Bad glow plugs?
