Battey terminal fix

Hey just wanted to share a couple of pics of what I did to my truck Today.. I just bought it a about a week ago and it sat a couple of days and wouldnt start. I looked at the battery connections and saw this. There was no possible way to tighten this contraption....

The seller told me the the positive cable needed replacing before I bought the truck but wtf is that... Anyways I checked online for the cable and they range from I around 85 bucks on up. I figured hey I can probably put atleast put a temporary fix on this until I can afford to buy the power cable. I took a trip to advanced and autozone about spent about 20 bucks and this is what I came up with... LMK what You think....

PS.. I never wanna want to jump start a powerstroke again.. I think I'll have nightmares tonight,,,

Your fix looks fine, I would leave it. Kinda reminds me of what I found under a friends 96 when I pulled the intake tube.
