Trailer Brake Question

Borrowed a buddies car trailer, has electric brakes on all four wheels and it works fine on his truck with an aftermarket brake controller.

My truck has a brake controller also, was in there when I bought it. Hooked up to my truck when I depress the pedal slightly the right trailer wheels locked up. I unplugged the controller under the dash and it still did the same thing. It's as though something through the brake pedal switch is causing it.

Does all the wiring match up right? About a month ago my little brother got a trailer and I hooked up all the wires on the his truck for the 7 pin plug, nothing worked right. Messed around with it for a while then looked at the trailer end and the dealer who hooked it up had everything in the wrong spot and the trailer brake wire wasn't even hooked up.

Maybe your buddy has something wired funny?
