99 f350 died
99 f350 lost power, cruise shut off then died. Restarted and limped about half
mile several times. feul pump fuse blows even with pump unhooked. Replaced idm, icp, ipr, and injectors to clear codes from earlier problems. did not set cel when it died. |

I'd be leaning towards the pump and the wiring going to it....
Why would it blow the fuse? A short somewhere?? Sounds like it's running out of fuel, the "limping" and all. Plus dieing without setting the CEL sounds like fuel delivery (remember, if you drive your tank empty and just run out of fuel, you don't set a code or get a light) Speaking of running out,,,, what's the gauge read? Are you below 1/4 tank? Could the gauge be off or something wrong in the tank? Maybe throw some more fuel in it... |

99 f350
removed feul pump and pigtail harness still blows fuse, manual shows pcm power also on this fuse. ran jumper wire to pump runs but does seem to be out fuel gaug at 1/4, I guess the has to com down again.

What fuse # is it?
Is your truck an "early/late" 99? Is the Fuel Heater still connected in the Filter Housing? (they short often) |

So, what else does it say that fuse protects? (most of the "fuse 19" stuff I'm familiar with is from under the dash and related to the OD wires)
I have this on #19 in my notes from somebody else, but it may be the in-the-cab one -> "mine did the same thing. open the drivers door and pull up that plastic piece near the jam and the carpet. there are a bunch of wires in there and if they short out it blows the fuse. mine where all corroded and broken. fixed them and haven't blow the fuse again. the wires are for the dome light, 3rd brake light, speakers, and dimmer switch. the one for the dimmer switch blows the #19 fuse." |

all these items are working so ithink you are right about in cab fuse. I only have owners manual and worthless Haynes manual for this truck. after playing around with problem a little more found fuse only seems to blow when turning key on or starting dont know which for sure. owners manual shows fuel pump and pcm fuse 19 power dist box. is there a relay for the pump i need to replace? thanks

If the fuse that's blowing IS #19 in the cab, then you need to take the cover from around the steering column and inspect the wires that go to the OD sw at the end of the shifter handle.
