changed starter which lead to hard start issues.
i swapped out the starter because the truck was hardly turning over. well during the swap the damn battery cable moved back into position and i threw sparks everywere.
once i got the new starter in it spun faster but had a hard time starting. now it just cranks over and wont start. the fuel pump seems super loud(more than normal) what could have i hurt when i threw the sparks? ----------------------------------------------- i just went back outside to try and start it. i cycled the key 4 times then after a long crank it fired up. could i have shorted out the gpr? would this cause it not to start? i really need help with this
i thought the problem had fixed itself but its back. the truck sat for a couple days and i tried to start it today. it cranked for a long time before it turned over. im not sure whats causing this. when i grounded out the started power wire on the frame what could i have fried? since it does start eventually i doubt its a fuse. what relays could cause this? maybe IDM?

Nation,
I have the exact same issue. I threw sparks everywhere when changing the starter last week and now it cranks for a long time before it will start. Did you ever find out what the issue was? |
