Do you have any modifications on your truck? If so what are they? An what color is the smoke?

only mod is super chip programmer the smoke is more of blue color after driven it an when you to stop an give it throttle it misses realy bad unless you mat it to floor

You have nothing to worry about bub. That smoke is just not completely burnt diesel. This happens when your truck has a programmer or chip on it. That'd nothing wrong.
But some advice is to ditch that programmer and get a custom tuned TS style chip from TW, Beans, or PHP Last edited by 7.3'00; 09-08-2011 at 04:58 AM. |

And the bucking and the jerking is just due to the superchip. Those programmers are made for all 99.5 to 2003 7.3l diesel trucks. If you get custom tuning the tuning you choose is specified for your truck. One of my friends has a superchip on his truck and it makes the tranny try to downshift for no reason. Those programmers are not good for your truck at all.

Go to Beans Diesel performance and you can get a replacment injector for $145

I ran a superchip with no problems, its actually one of the better canned tuners out there, that being said sounds like you do have an issue... but remove the programmer first to see if it changes.

Make sure you get the right injector for Cyl No.8 i got one thinking it was good but found out after i needed a specific one for the No.8 cyl so had to replace it again but now i have 2 new injectors
Lucky the No.8 cylinder is an easy access driver side far back just gotta pull the intake hose and bracket
