Headlights don't work, help!

I'm taking my truck for an inspection soon and I obviously need headlights.
Here's the issue:

With the truck running and the multi switch turned all the way to the left, the DRL's work. When I switch on to the park lights, they still work as do my tail lights. Everything is OK there. But when I turn the switch to the headlamp position (all the way to the right) my headlights turn off but my tails and ambers still are lit.
Also, my high beams only work with me holding the switch, but they will not stay on in the pushed forward position.

I replaced the multi switch, checked all fuses, and even installed a GOS headlight harness with heavy duty relays. Everything works except the headlamps and the high beams.
any clues?! Thanks

It was the turn signal/wiper/high beam switch. I popped it open and the contacts were all corroded and one was burnt...must have shorted while 4xing.
Hopefully this helps someone else!

Sounds similar to my problem. I will check it tomorrow morning and I hope it's the answer!

I had a similar problem with the headlights on my 2002 F250, but it turned out to be petina built up on the mutlifunction switch connector. I cleaned it and it worked a while, then back to the same issue. I found that by twisting the wiring harness/plug 360 degrees, enough torque was produced to establish a reliable contact. I haven't had trouble out of it in about six years. But I expect to eventually have to replace the plug for the MFS. Ford has the replacement part.
