Short took out my alternator?
Tonight I was pulling a chisel plow home, with an adapter to run the flashers. my brake controller kept flashing an error at me (short). then after I get on hooked and shut the truck off it won't start. jump it and the voltage meter reads low. as the truck sits idling for the next 20 min the voltage continues to drop. I have no blown fuses that I can find. So I assume my alternator is shot? Anything else on the truck that could short out and not blow a fuse?
