i didnt get directly struck by it it struck like maybe 50 feet away and i was standing in water outside anyways i was safe working on the truck i was standing on a 37" tire so i figured i was safe i was also under a car port. i think it was a little but of both dedication and stupidity.

I am sorry for your misfortune. Now to correct the problems.

1 you should be wearing the proper shoes while working on your truck, ie boots, steel toe boots, or at least closed toe shoes.
2. you should have been in a garage to work on truck. Not out in a lightning storm. Or you should have at least waited for the weather to clear up before working on your truck.

Ok that is enough safety talk for one day. Now grab a beer to relax and relieve your pain from your fall and electrocution.
