Flasher

My flasher on my 02 f350 is clicking and buzzing and it won't stop. I have replaced it but it keeps on. If you activate the blinker , brake or trailer brake it stops but if those things aren't activated it will just start clicking and buzzing while your driving down the road. Anyone got any ideas?

my girl firends olds alero is doing that. IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!!!!!!!!!

not sure what it is tho just kickin it in the top for you ill let you know if i figure out what it is cuz im bout ready to take it into a shop

If you take the cover off (if yours has a cover) it's not as loud, can still hear it though. Sounds like a rattle snake under the dash.

mine dont really buzz it just sound like the signal light is clicking really fast all the time still havent had a chance to dig into it yet maybe this week end

Mine does the same thing. I had Marc look at it when we had a meet and greet at pismo beach in CA. He said that it was probably the Multi-Function switch. The MFS is licated under the top panel on your steering column. the switch comes as a unit and includes your turn signal arm. I suggest using a manual to take the panel off because there are a few steps to getting it off that include taking off the ignition switch housing and the bottom panel. The part is about 55-80 bucks depending on where you get it.

Have you tried a heavy duty flasher? I had a truck do the same thing and put a heavy flasher in it for towing and it stopped. It may be worth a try.

I tried the heavy duty flasher...no worky worky...multi function switch and all good. rob

Okay so I need a multi-function switch. Since it is kinda high $55-$80 can I count that as a mod? lol
