Air Filter Restriction Gauge on Filter Box...

Hi all... Anyone else get a restricted filter reading on their gauge, even after a new filter? Mine goes right to the "change filter" part, traveling at 70-75 mph (110-120 kph) at 2000 RPM... Now I do have a snorkel, probably you see very few of those... But is this common?

If not, I am thinking about adding a wind jammer funnel type of top on the snorkel to "Air Dam" jamming more air down the pipe. I have found diesels working hard do better in cool night air, condensed air, maybe 5% better from experience? Thinking about the supercharge of a funnel gathering more air on top of the snorkel doing the same thing? Feeding more condensed air to the snorkel... Thoughts anyone? Its gotta help push more air in...

Maybe it is the Lone Ranger Mod.. Ha!

Hello Guru Marc. I was just checking to see if the gauge was weak by nature? I have now opened up the other side of the box where it went to the original air dam out the front. It looks like, if the Baldwin filter is not too dense, or the gauge is not f@#&%#, then the snorkel had does not gather enough air. It could be a design fault in getting body moulding shape over function in just not large enough bore or wind facing head...

Marc, I guess you figured by now, I am a Tinkerer and Inventer, the Mad Scientist at Bushtracker.. Always trying to improve on things a little.. With both sides of the box open, BET MY FUEL MILEAGE GOES UP A LITTLE.. Ha!

I will no doubt be moving up to the AIS system, just want to play with what I have first, two filter spares, and then I will know what ground I was able to gain with the AIS...

Thank you for your Support as Head Techie to this Forum, you are a Champion. Regards from the Ranger...
