fuel in fuel bowl is black.

Hey i just went to change my fuel filter and discovered the fuel in my filter bowl is super black and not the clear blue/green its supposed. I was thinking it would be the injector o-rings. However i replaced all the injector o-rings about 2-3000 km ago. Could this be an internal injector problem. When i changed the injector o-rings, i made sure that the workspace was clean and the o-rings were properly seated. any ideas guys?
