Help! WTS light wont come on ....where do i start?

My 2000 7.3 has been running awesome lately , even in the super cold weather lately (-32c)as long as its plugged in. But this afternoon I started it with the command start at lunch time as i do everyday , started up , but only ran for a few minutes. went out with a key the start it and the "wait to start" light didnt light up. It turns over fine, but no start .It has never done this. I checked the fuse's and the 30a in spot 30 was blown (PCM relay,Ignition coil,fuel heater,wastegate solenoid,inj driver module relay coil).......replaceed it, tried again to start, the WTS light came on for only 2 sec then the fuze blew again??? I put in a new GPR (new fomoco) 6 mo ago. what else controlls the glow plug "Wait To Start" light??

The fuel bowl heater has probly shorted out. You have to unplug the heater and install a new fuse and should be fine. If you are looking down at the fuel bowl on the back rh side(turbo side) you will see the connector for the heater.

The wire element comes off and shorts out to the plate. It's a very common problem. There is an updated element from Ford. There are lots of people running without a fuel heater such as myself.
The old one is on the left and the new one is on the right.

Is that down inside the fuel bowl ?

Yes. Way down under the filter.

That was the Problem. Unplugged the fuel heater, put in new 30a fuse and it works like a charm again. I guess i will order in a new fuel heater and change it this spring/summer when it's not too nasty outside.
