Need help plz!!

This morning on the way to work I stopped at a gas station and when I came back out my truck would not move. My check engine light was on. P0122 TP sensor circuit low input. The truck idles fine but its like its not seeing the demand from the pedal to go. After about 30 min of checking fuses (all ok), and working the pedal up and down it went away. Most of what ive read on here says to replace the accelerator pedal assembly. Do you have to replace the whole thing or can I just replace the electronics? And what are the chances that this is the problem for sure?

nvm.. i took the pedal assembly out and sprayed it down with WD-40 and it seems to be working now.
