2001, 7.3 found leak....need help

After reading the post for several days and going back to my truck and looking for the source of the leak I found it I have a leak under the oil pump where it conects to the front cover, ... I actually use one of my wife's makeup mirrors and was able with the truck running actually see the drops comming from the top of the cilinder and driping into the very very front of the valey.

Now I need help with instruction and pictures if posible on how to remove the high preasure pump from the front cover and "asuming" that there is a gasket there.

Funny I looked and clean several times the higth presure oil feed hoses and they are dry! to unclude the nut (end plug) and the turbo pedestal

Please let me know where I can buy the gasket or o rings needed (actually I will probably change the o rings in the hoses as I read that its the most common place for leak.

Yeap, thanks for the reply. Ordered all the o-rings and gaskets yesterday. Since I have to pull the fuel bowl I will replace the connector o-rings and since I have to pull the HPOP I have also ordered all the HPOP o-ring (high pressure hoses) and IPR rebuild kit, and the unserviceable bolt kit.

Bottom line is .... if I have to go to all the trouble of removing the pieces I want to do this once and then be done for the next 150k

I know exactly what you mean. I am doing the same thing. Once I figure out this doggone "stumbling" issue with my truck, I too am attacking several things on top of the motor at once... Wicked wheel, Ped orings, new intercooler boots, Oil x-over line, fuel return system, new injectors and a couple other things. I have been buying items up slowly but surely...
