Electrical failure
I have a 2000 F-350 7.3, auto, 4x4. Single Alternator. Going down the highway and radio started to flicker then dash lights dimmed, voltage indicator dropped to zero, all lights went out, wipers started intermittently coming on slowly, then ABS light came on. I pulled into a vacant lot, shut truck off and it wouldn't re-start. only clicks.

Voltage at 0 sounds like something shorted out. Check the battery voltage with a multimeter and check for loose or chafed wires.

took both batteries out and took the alternator off and had it bench tested. Results so far..one bad battery and Alternator is shot! How in the world does that happen all at once? I hope that's all of it. We'll know shortly.
