f350 heater issue

no heat in my 2001 f-350 7.3 liter everything works fine then all of a sudden the hot air goes cold. the hot air flap behind the heater core is not closing and or staying closed, i replaced the air flap acuator and still is not working. Also when the hot air stops and it goes cold the ac will not work,the one night when messing around with it somehow the ac got stuck on and i could not shut it off, i unhooked the battery and that stoped the ac from running. Anyideas this is driving me crazy!

hey i had the same problem in my 2004 F-250. it was the thermostat that had gone bad. but weird thing about it all my temps were normal???? but u might try that. either way if it works or not its cheap

i replaced the thermostat. just reciently. still not working. I forgot to mention that i have heat in my heater core. Thank you for your imput by the way.
