High Idle

My 2000 no longer kicks into high idle. Any ideas on why that might be?

I have some parking brake issues.. could that be causing it, seeing as its a hand shaker?

For two days after I replaced the air filter, the truck WOULD high idle. Fluke?

Used to kick into high idle automatically like it is supposed to. Now I can't even make it high idle using the PTO management box on the floor, the lights just flash and it doesn't do anything.

Ideas?

check the park brake switch? I think it needs to see that for high idle on a 6spd
