weird thump/thud when braking or accelerating

it just started doing this and i cant figure it out. when i come to a stop and the truck rocks back to settle and it thuds. if i take of suddenly it thuds. it feels like its in the rear end but i cant be certain. almost like axle wrap but the opposite. not sure how else to explain it.

check you axle "u" bolts, i see you have a lift.

Not sure if you have a crew cab or not. But I had the same problem. It was the carrier bearing in the rear 2 piece driveshaft. Its in the middle of the two mounted to the frame. Kodi


Put the truck in netural , block the wheels and get under it and push on the drveshafts. If it has slop. it needs to be changed

yes this was my problem
some grease will fix it
