fuel gauge silliness..?
Short story: fuel gauge is showing Full and not moving..?
Long story: when I bought truck the dealer filled it up and the gauge read over Full, and never moved..just stuck there...they fixed it..think they said sending unit possibly, I kinda forget as it was 2yrs ago...I never filled it since, not shure why, kinda hate waiting long time at pump I guess...but for some reason I just get $50 at a time, let it run till light pops on then grab another $50, and so on...today I figured I'd fill it as some snow is in the forecast...needless to say, gauge showed over Full and didn't move after I drive approx. 40 miles, and usually I'm pretty sure it would show somewhat of a sign of use after 40 miles...so anyone ever heard of this happening like this or just a weird coincidence? Any ideas? Thanks.. |

Some people have issues with the pickup and/or the mixer in the tank. If you want to preempt the issue, you can do the Hutch mod.
