PLease help.

Kinda new with the diesel stuff. I have a 01 cc 4x4 , auto. Last week i insalled guages , And A pillar. So all is fine and dandy, Then i had a stupid attack and went and washed the engine off at the car wash.Since then it hasn't ran right. The engine will lope at idle, Hit the load lever and 20 seconds later it might rev up or not. Nothing consistant.I found the little Green hose off of the air intake. Plugged back in. No help. OH yeh it has an AFE blue intake also. Any ideas would be of great help. Thanks.

I'm not sure what it could be - other than water in any of the connections under there! But a Free Bump for you before bed! lol Good luck!

I would check the fuses.. check all wire connections..

worse comes to worse I'd take it to the stealership and see what they find.. I think they will check out the truck for like $100 or something like that...

good luck bud!

a bump is just a term used to bump the thread to the top so more people will see it "as new"

yeah, the fuses under the hood was what I was refering to..

Human error is always possible, go back and tripple check the gauge set up..

also, I dont know if its possible, but did you cover the intake with a bag or anything.. and did you immediately start the engine after hosing off the engine?
as I said I dont know if its possible, but maybe you sucked up a lot of water from getting it in the intake...?

Bump means that the post doesn't necesarily add anything.. but it moves the thread toward the top of the list of latest postings. Doing so (in moderation please) will help the thread get noticed.

BTW.. other than answering your question... this is a BUMP!!!

I would think your possibilities are:

A blown fuse under the hood - there are a LOT of them!

Water in thru the intake - although I wouldn't think so

and the most likely is water in one of the many electrical connections under the hood all around the engine harnesses - you might unplug them one by one (at least the ones you can find and get to) and maybe blow them out with air and at least make sure they are all dry.

of course do that after checking the guage install

OK i will try all of these ideas tomorrow and let everyone know. I did have a freind do a general scan on the thing, He said there were no engine codes, But when i would drive it once in a while the bad light would come on, And then go off, Intermintaly, Thanks for the Bumps , And ideas.
