No Start!?!?! Fuel Problem?!?!?

Ok guys heres whats going on with my truck. Im convinced I have some kind of fuel problem. First of all, both batteries are good, GPR is good, Glow Plugs are all good, truck has 178xxx on it. In the last two weeks my truck will barely even start being plugged in over night. Its started up right away about two times in the last week. Once its warmed up it has not had any problems re-starting. Has been taking me a few minutes of hard cranking until the batteries are almost drained to get this thing started in the mornings. Was just a hard start, now 2 days ago I pulled up to a light noticing my idle was jumping around and truck was running a little rough, no big deal, but today drivin down the road I noticed out of nowhere that my truck had no throttle responce. Pulled up to the red light and my truck had a MASSIVE lope, sounded like I had a huge cam in it, it was jumping from about 500 RPM to 1000 RPM. Tried touching the skinny pedal to see if it made a difference, not at all, light went green, I pressed the throttle lightly and the truck stalled. Started right back up and ran fine. After leaving a store about 2 hours later it did the same thing, started up and had that massive lope, turned the truck off, restarted it and ran fine. I have also noticed a few times a very strong diesel gas smell coming from under the hood, but I have not found any fuel leaks, and I have noticed that during the first crank trying to start my truck in the morning, I dont see oil pressure being built until a few seconds in or the second time I start cranking. I really need to get this fixed as this is my daily driver, it has not given me any other problems of any sort and it runs great when its not acting funny. Any input from you guys or anything I could do to check off things would be great, sorry for the long post, help is greatly appreciated and I need it asap! Thanks!
