Need help!!!

Ok guys I need a little help on this one, about a week ago my truck started acting up and doesnt want to start in the morning when its cold, both batteries are good, it cranks good and fast, its been taking me about 4-5 long 10 second cranks to get it started for the last week. When its warmed up it starts right up. Plugged it in, heater core plug is working great, but it didnt help the situation at all. Then on the way home from work today at a light, I noticed my idle started jumping around from 500-800, truck is running amazing off idle though, I have noticed my gas mileage has dropped dramatically from what it has been though, I also have a recall for the CPS but I have not had it changed yet, I know to test the glow plugs, relays and such, but does anyone have any advice on what could be wrong and where to start? Help would greatly be appreciated. Also, truck just turned 178,XXX.

I would start with the gpr and maybe water in the fuel is causing the other issues. GPR is def to blame for hard starting, went through this already this year. Only buy the motorcraft gpr the one napa sells behlowssss.

My rpm's also jump around a little, always has. I just turned 227k.
