idm and pcm

ok I feel dumb.... I dont know much about these trucks just got one. went through some mudd and water truck ran bad now wont start...
what one is the pcm and what one is the idm?
one has one big wire harness and the other has 3 wire harness.
its a 2000 7.3 auto trans

if i remember right, the pcm is the one that goes thru the firewall.

Yes PCM is the one near your left foot when driving. It's up behind the parking break pedal. Black box. Wiring harness goes through the firewall and is secured by ONE bolt.
