ok today i went to the dump and noticed a trail of fuel under my truck and a puddle under the engine. camne home shut it off got out and the fuel was running right out. its running down the right rear side of the engine onto the starter and bell housing. i have checked my valley it is dry so its nothing around the fuel filter. the drain for the fuel filter is good also. i have been smelling a bad fuel smell in the cab when driving but never seen the leak until to day. if someone could help me out i would really appreciate it .
check the fuel lines and connections. there is a fuel supply line that goes from the fuel filter housing into the right rear cylinder head. There is also a check valve in the fuel line fitting to control fuel flow to the cylinder head. If that check valve is stuck in the open position, it could be allowing too much fuel to come through and leak out the fitting. not sure if thats your problem but id sure take a look. hope this helps.
