Clutch Fan

Does anybody find that the clutch fan comes on quite often even when cruising on the highway at normal speeds ?? My seems to come on very frequently and when it does you can feel it rob a ton of power from the engine.I'm sure this is also hurting my milage.

Saturday mine never shut off. With it being so hot and humid my fan clutch locked up and stayed that way until I shut the truck off. Then when I started it back up it was the same way. No matter how short the drive was saturday my fan clutch was at work doing its job.

Was that in town or on the highway?I just figured if your cruising on the highway that it should not come on that often.

A little of both, I drove about 4 miles to the highway, then drove about 12 miles up the highway and got off. The whole trip to the speed shop and home it would not disengage. I figured it was just the heat and humidity keeping it engaged.
