P0470 — Exhaust back pressure sensor circuit malfunction probably causes........Biased sensor, open signal return

there is fords definition of the code....i would first check to see if the EBP pipe is plugged up, but you may need a sensor too. also, check the wiring to be safe.............Marc

les, a cam sensor would not throw this code......

The EBP sensor is the exhaust back pressure sensor. there will be a tube coming off of your drivers side exhaust manifold. it will run to a sensor that has a three wired connector on it....thats the guy........Marc

Ebp sensor is exhaust back pressure, its at the back of the turbo. The valve is at least.

try blowing through it. there is a lot of carbon in exhaust systems and sometimes the carbon will plug the tube. if it does, soak it in some solvent for a while and then blow it out with compressed air.............Marc
