Intercooler?

Will an intercooler bring my exhaust temps down? If so about how much will it cool them down? I'm having issues on the highway pulling steep long hills and mountain passes, temps get higher than I care for them to be. Just looking for a way to cool things down. I have the down pipe and a 4 inch intake all ready, but that did not seem to cool things down at all

Are the high EGT's when using your edge tuner? The Edge isn't a very good tune, especially for hard pulling.

X2..you might want to get custom tunes..are you keeping the rpm's above 2200 underload? But bottom line you need a IC. A little more turbo would help also.

Yes I'm running the edge for right now. And I cant run high rpm's under a load for longer periods or my egt's get WAY TO HOT 1200+

Just a FYI but when I tow I set my limit at 1250*..I'll leave it their as long as it takes..

I dont let it go over 1200 and try to keep it at 1000. But I have to slow down to 55 to keep them down

Do you have a pyro gauge? How are the temps w/o the edge hooked up.

I ran a edge juice on my dmax and the tunes sucked. I made a trip through utah and wyo and couldn't believe how high my egt's were at hwy speeds under load. They just want you to feel more power when you buy it but don't put the time in to perfect the tune for safe power.

I dont usually run it with out the edge. I get better mpg with the edge. And yes i have the pyro, tranny and boost gauges

So, to answer the question. Yes, a intercooler upgrade will help lower egt's. I really would wonder why you are having such an issue unloaded. With a good intack and exhaust system you should be fine. I know there are guys on here that know alot more about these than me but I can say I don't know too many guys that are happy with Edge. Counting Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. Do some research on the Evolution and see if others have the same complaint.
