need to lower my exhaust temp

I am pulling 20-22k pounds.

Seems like the temp stays around 12-13 except for downhill.

What options do I have.
I have read here about water injection. I have been told that aftermarket turbo would lower it about 200 deg.
Any other options, or just keep my foot outa the throttle.

what size exhaust are you running? gettin bigger tubes will help, aftermarket turbo will help. and also go with a larger down pipe will cut the egts back. the water injection kits work wonders for droping the temps but they come with a resurvour about the size of your wiper fluid res. and would run out very fast if your running it constantly

I AGREE WILL ya but the snow kit can come with an optional 8 gallon tank

cheapest way would be a 4 or 5 inch exhaust with bigger dp

Looks like he is straight piped....is it already 4"? There are differant size tanks you can get like stump said. A stage 2 kit would help alot. A bigger BB turbo would also do wonders. The turbo would be alot more money though.

Turn the chip down when towing. That would probably be the easiest. Call Jody and tell him whats up with the chip and see what he says about a custom towing program.

factory exhaust is only 3.5 with a 3 inch down pipe if the factory pipes are strait piped a 4 inch turbo back makes huge difrence in egts and performace he didnt specify but that would be my assumption (making an @ss out of u n me)

Yes, it is a factory 3.5 straight.
How much reduction with dp
How much reduction with 4"
how much reduction with 5"

Ive been real busy to deal with it. but now i need to!! Jody has a 65 tow setting on my chip and I see 12 egt all the time. It pitiful to have all of this power but cant use it because of egt temps. Keep the tips coming. thanks

I hate to say it but your either going to have to cut the power or get a bigger horse.

Warren, since I already talked to you tonight, I wont repost all of it. I did move your thread into the correct section for ya though. Good luck with the bigger pipes.
